Sublimation

The Sublimation process uses a special ink that, when heated, permanently binds to polyester fibers. This is how we achieve the soft feel, unlike vinyl printing. There is no white ink for sublimation which means any white that appears in an image will not be printed, so the color of the shirt is what will show in its place. This is why we often only offer white or very light colored shirts as our options. Even black sometimes will come out more of a dark grey/charcoal when printed on some colored shirts.
Also, some shirts are not available in a 100% polyester option (example: raglan or baseball tees). Since the sublimation inks bind to polyester fabrics and the some shirts are a polyester/cotton blend or even a tri-blend, the images will have a faded look. We (along with many of our customers) like this look as it gives the appearance of the popular vintage tees. Also, the tri-blend shirts that we carry are so butter soft and super comfy.
